About LAAP

Leading Awareness for Autism Program

Our Vision

Till a few recent years ago Autism was not even recognized as a disease or disorder in Nepal, the kids being categorized as mentally unstable. We at LCN want to eradicate this perception.  Together, we aim to enhance our resources and expand our reach to serve more children and families affected by autism in Nepal. Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) presents a significant challenge to many families in Nepal, affecting their social, educational, and economic well-being. Ladies Circle Nepal is dedicated to providing specialized education and support for children with autism spectrum disorders. Our mission is to offer a safe environment with proper infrastructure where holistic development of the students can take place thus, enabling them to achieve their full potential and working on a more inclusive society. Keeping this in mind, we are supporting the Special School for Disabled and Rehabilitation Centre (SSDRC) by helping them build the first floor, which will consist of 5-6 classrooms and a toilet. This will help them increase their capacity and spread their reach to more autistic kids. This is just the start; we also look forward to building a toilet block, a playground, and another floor in the future, along with providing assistance with therapies.
